Before cleaning any FR (fire retardant) material, consult with professionals who are knowledgeable with fire retardancy and the cleaning of such treated material. The effectiveness of FR will diminish over time and with cleaning. FR fabric has been chemically treated to help delay flame production and help prevent the spread of fire. This chemical treatment is typically soluble in liquid so FR material should be dry-cleaned with a non-liquid cleaning agent. To remove dust buildup, gently brush the surface with a soft brush.
